Can you recommend a palm book for children?
There is only one we have come across: "Palm Trees (Trees)" by Marcia S. Freeman.

What is the green powder some of the seeds are covered with?
It's a copper fungicide to keep fungus away from some touchy seeds.

Where can I get a fungicide to protect my seeds from fungus?
We cannot ship pesticides but many agriculture/horticulture supply stores will carry a broadband fungicide powder. Hard-shelled seeds can also be dipped in a mild bleach solution for disinfection.

Which palm seeds (nuts) are suitable as parrot food?
Some of our seeds are untreated and remain in their natural state and are thus suitable for use as parrot food. Many have a great taste even by human standards. The following varieties are especially popular: Attalea dubia (large), Attalea phalerata (large), Jubaea chilensis (medium), Parajubaea (medium) and Syagrus romanzoffiana (small). According to some parrot enthusiasts, the favourite is Syagrus coronata (medium). We also offer all seeds as "small packets" of 10 seed each, so that you can test which variety your parrot likes best.
